Foam fits better with out the cup as well. All the ones I’ve seen the foam melts all the crossover and turns everything nasty. I had to scrub all that gunk off on mine with a toothbrush. The original…1 · -

The original terminal cups with the board and larger capacitors barely fits. The cup without the board is still a close fit. The woofer magnet is too close to the crossover. I think that is an issue.…4 · -

That’s on another pair of my speakers but same idea. Eliminating the terminal cup and replacing with just a plate also gives you the option of much better binding posts. I like how on those posts you…3 · -
