Actually, what I learnt fron this forum is that bottom post are for bass and top post are for high and mid range. If bass signal will be handled by seperate sub, I would think it's better not send signal to main's woofer, this will also make mid and high more clean. Am I totally wrong here? Thanks for any input, CT2

If set main SMALL, shall you also remove the gold plate on speaker post and connect only top post? Thanks, CT2

3803 is older model, but 6ave has great price for 648, asking for 3802 free upgrade. Another great receiver is Yamaha rx-v1400(basically same as 2400), new model with PLIIx support. As for sub, both SVS and Hsu are good. CT2

I ordered a pair from partsexpress: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&PartNumber=245-010&DID=7 Still waiting, hopefully they don't look ugly with my FXi50s

Please forgive me if it's too dumb: Shouldn't it be better if sound is comming directly from speaker? Why have to fill the whole room/kitchen? Why you guys choose sub/speaker based on room size, not listen area? I'm research for SVS now and answers will make a hudge difference. Thanks, CT2:confused:

I suggest keep front and center cable same length for better matching.

Got it, I will follow that thread then. BTW, in this one and a half years period, have you tried RAVA? Have you ever regretted? What you see missing from Daton beside finishing? Picture worth 1000 words, I thought 10' is small, now I am really concerbed about 18x18x18 RAVA, it may looks bigger than my TV ;)

Gatemplin, Thanks for your advice. I'm almost set for RAVA. pending final approval :) Only concern now is the size, hope it won't appears too big in my setup. CT2

Thanks DangerBoy and TroyD. I have never heard any bad words about SVS so far, that's a great sub for sure. Any taker to DIY sub kits out there?
-
That looks great! How did you get them in wall? Are they RTi8? how do you like them? what sub you use to match the new RTi?
-
Duffman, I'm researching for RTi8 now. Let us know your experience. Do you think it well worth $700? CT2

I know money wise I should go for Rti70 now. But as you all know, once you are exposed to something better(after heard RTi8), you alway feel something not right with RTi70. I shouldn't try RTi8 in the first place, I think. I bet I will be in even bigger trouble if I listened to LSi ones :p Is that true people buy a pair of…
