subwoofer no sound HELP

I have a pioneer vsx-d409 reciever and have a
rca cable"sub pre out" (no left & right on this pre-out)
connected to the polk psw450 LFE

NOTHING COME OUT

How do you hook this thing up so that is produces sound?

    Did you plug it in and turn it on? ;)

    Did you set up the bass management so your receiver knows you have a subwoofer? The manual could probably explain it a lot better than I could.

    check you settings, 'lfeatt', 'lcf' etc. I have the pioneer 510 and had a similar problem, the bass was real low until I turned off all that stuff. hopefully that's all it is

    receiver have a menu where you can turn it on or off.. i have a feeling this could be your problem. come back if you still have trouble. Be sure it's connected into the right output on your reciever.. most receivers have lots and lots of outputs.. that could be mistaken for the sub out.
