Re post.....In-Ceiling/Wall Speaker System
Hello...first time to this site.
I am finishing my basement and decided to go with in/wall and in/ceiling speakers. I want to use as a dual stereo/surround system.
I have decided to go with Polk rc85i for the front wall speakers and Polk rc80i for the rear speakers. I am going to go with the Polk psw111 for a sub.
My question is what is acceptable for a center speaker? I am on a budget and will not spend $650 for the Polk lci-c. Can I just get another rc85i and use as a center? Also, would these sound matched as all the same brand?
Any help would be appreciated as this will be the first stereo system that I have purchased? Perhaps, I am going down the wrong path with in ceiling/wall speakers but I really like the look.
Thanks.....

Your best bet would be to get a cs2 or another rc85i you really are going to like the rc series my brother-inlaw went with these and loves em. I wouldn't get an lci series center it wouldn't be a good match.

I have had my RC85I's for a few months now and they are awesome. Even for music if you are listening to 5.1 vs 2 channel. They are quite warm sounding with very crisp highs. You will appreciate the directional tweeters.

Thanks for all of the quick and excellent replies. I am going to purchase another rc85i for the center per your suggestions.
