Whats up all???
I have been Installing a ton of Paradigm setups lately and funny thing I'm actually starting to like the line. Most of there stuff is on par with Polk , it would be a pick em if you ask me. I feel they make some really nice sounding speakers. I even did there Reference S8s a few time. We do a lot of Studio 100's as well.
Now there subs.... GOD DAMN!!!. I can't get over how every single sub they make is awesome. I mean come on, this company should stop making speakers and just make subs. Not that there speakers are bad, I actually like them but there subs are off the charts.
My personal favorite affordable for me sub is the Seismic 12. Guys and Girls this thing can pressurize a room and give damn close even response down to 28hz. Incredible. Simply Incredible. I love it. It's so strong and manly yet small and compact. I can't say enough about it's performance for theater. Excellent power vs speed and control. It doesn't BOOM anything. It's so fast and clean.
To date I have been Impressed by subs in the 2k price point. Martin Logan and Rel are excellent subs for music first then theater 2nd. Now I think the Paradigm might be as good for music but better for theater then both companies. I would have to do a in room 3 way shootout to really stand behind a statement like that but from my experience with the Paradigm subs, I can say it would hang in there. I'm so impressed.
There flagship subs are out of my price range but they are in a class that they can compete with the big boys. I'll leave it at that.
If anyone lives near a Paradigm dealer , I suggest you go check them out before you drop any serious money on subs. I would be very happy owning 2 Seismic 12 subs in my personal system.

Mantis I live really close to a Paradigm dealer and all they carry are the Monitor series which are really great speakers I might but add. But I have not had a chance to demo the Seismic which they do have there I believe. I will go down there today and test it out for myself and see what I think. What series would u compare the Monitors to to Polk?
-
I guess the Rtia series. They would be a fair compare. The Seismic subs are awesome. I'm considering bringing a few home. I would love to run 2 12's. Or for the sheer hell of it 4 12's. That would be really nice. I'm all about that sub.

Paradigm is probably one of the most well known Canadian built speakers.
Their Studio Reference and Studio Signature speakers are amazing. I haven't had much experience with their subs, but Servo series subs are awesome!Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies

I've been running a pair of PW-2200 subs in my system for about 5 or 6 years now. Pretty good subs.

I just setup a pair of S1's for the floor, I'm waiting a ew days to listen to them. My boss loves those speakers. I can see why, they are really well rounded speaker company. They do everything right and nothing wrong. I like em 2.Paradigm is probably one of the most well known Canadian built speakers.

I've heard the Servo 18(?) and it was pretty darn cool.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I heard the Monitor 11's and Titan Monitors last year, along w/ a PDR10, and they did sound sweet. The 11's sounded very 'throaty' to me, good for Jazz, or Blues.I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
