I can't find a good review. Does this have onboard decoders for the higher end audio stream? (using 7.1 connectors)? Anyone have one? Thanks

Here are a couple of links that may help you out, but to answer your questions about the decoders it appears that it decodes all of the newer high end audio formats including DD True HD and DTS True HD

I have one and yes, it does decode onboard all the lossless formats.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Oppo UDP-203 Blu-Ray player, Polk LSiM 705 speakers. Polk Signature S20 speakers.

I have installed this player an I found it to be very very good. Solid , fast great picture and audio quality. built quality is average but solid nonetheless.
Thinking of picking one up? I don't know of a better player at this price range or really any other. The Pioneer Elite 50 and 09 are better cd players if your trying to that as well but if you run Optical out for cd, your receiver and DA convert it and it will sound as good as the quality of your receiver or pre.
