hey thanks for the offer, I am doing this on the real cheap.. although your prices are good, i need almost nill :) I have a local computer store that is really cheap, I may end up useing.. But if i can find some old replacement parts for next to nothing so be it.. actually this is for my 4 year old so she doesn't need anything real new for now.. she has a running computer now 500 celeron, but this second one will work better far as expansion.. and she can put her collector barbie pc aside to look at and save...

No don't get me wrong, and i don't think you did, Those are great prices, I was basically looking for someone who had some "old" parts they needed getting rid of, old floppy drive, cd rom and such that was taking up space, i can get parts new really dirt cheap at this place i know of, but was looking for the cheapee way out.. it's actually just alittle project i am doing for the heck of it, no hurry and as parts get found.. Thanks though alot for the offer

I have an old computer I am also thinking about just getting fixed up as a backup....its always a good idea you know? I might post so much on the Forum that the new one will choke ;)

You sure the Barbie computer is your daughters'? :D

The Celeron is a very over-clockable processor. Check out:
    www.overclocking.com
    www.overclockers.com
    www.ocia.net

I have used some tips from them to overclock my video card and processor, just a little, I am not crazy enough for hardcore stuff.

hehe!! Yeah it's hers.. BUT.. I had a hot wheels pc i bought just to have the set because they aren't made anymore, But i sold it and built a faster bedroom pc. I will include a pic of the elusive barbie pc, circa 1999 by patriot computers inc. now out of business, I overclock, it's fun to see what ya can get out of the chip however the barbie won't overclock, no settings/jumpers to change. i did however upgrade the original 333 mhz to a 500.. it has a usb 10/100 network adapter so she has dsl highspeed on it for nickjr.com and playhousedisney.com and of course barbie.com I have a Amd xp1600 in my machine now, and a duron 1300 in the bedroom pc, and the barebones i am piecing together is just a 333 celeron.. for my daughter..

Thats neat that they have stuff like that for kids :)

I think they should make a Barbie, BB/CC set. And she could sell Polk Audio speakers. The child could learn also, like how to lie to the customer, misqoute specifications...etc, what an idea. :D
