Up dating Onkyo 805

While using the firmware update disc,everything went ok but when it got to the third writing dsp part the disc stopped playing & it never went to complete & clear.Should I start over again all it says on the front of the Onkyo is s/dif updating.
My HT set-up Panasonic front proj, 120 in ws screen, ATI amp,Integra 9.8 pre-pro, 2 Polk rti150, cp 1000, 4 fx 1000, Pioneer blu-ray 2 SVS sub pb 12-ultra 2, & Paragon popcorn popper. ps 3 Coaster leather HT recliners.

    I waited a while & shut off the 805 when I did that the 805 display said clear on it.Have I screwed up???thanks

    I dont think the cd plays long enough,when the 805 reads writing 3 st dsp the cd stops playing & the 805 just says s/pdif update the cd only plays for 63 sec is that enough time for the update?

    Never mind it took the update!

    Updates are fun! Same type of thing with my Outlaw 990. Its pretty scary to say the least. I would rather flash a bios chip than do an update on gear!

    I'm waiting until I get a UPS available to flash mine. I don't want any power failures when I'm updating-that would be Madden's law after all.

    If an update is seaming to fail I would suggest leaving it for a while before you get edgy, and reboot too early:)
