Need a pre,dac,???suggestions please.

Ok so i bought two amps. The stuff in the living room is fine for me not really wanting to add a pre or a dac to it, i thinmk the Rotel-RB976 will be good enough?
I may get another two channel amp a little later for it then run the fronts on one amp and the center/surrounds on the amp i just bought. Would this be a good idea for later? Run the center/backs on the rotel and the fronts on another amp? If so any decent two channel amps for around 350 or less?

On the bedroom stuff though i was looking at emotiva MMC-1 but the site says it's out of stock. I guess i can give em a call and see about getting one from them.
I am goin to run a Rotel RMB-1075 from dorokusai. I figure this should get me by until i upgrade to bigger better fronts.
But do i need a dac for this setup? If so what units should i look at?
Also would it be better to play cd's on a dvd player? or should i get a cdplayer specific for it?
If so what units are nice?
Right now i am just playing cd's with a cheap sony dvd player cause it's 5 disc so it makes life easier than using the toshiba hddvd player.
Also any good eq's i should look into or is this not really needed?
So any suggestions on what i should be looking at next etc?

    I would advise staying away from the EQ. Not that they aren't fun to play with sometimes, it's just that they knock you off reference and unless you are well versed with gear and audio they tend to act as a crutch for issues IMO. YMMV.

    That Emotiva gear is nice, I'd definitely give them a call, or see if you could find it on the used market

    touch - I would upgrade your Pre, CD Player, Subwoofer, Interconnect cables, DAC. In that order. You will see the most improvement for the money in that order is why.

    I was actually reading reviews on that unit earlier today. Seems like a nice piece but i'm wondering if any of their DVD players can compare to it in sound quailty etc? Or should i just roll the cd player for cds and a dvd player for dvds?

    I would go with dedicated CDP and a seperate DVD player.Like a toshiba HD-A1 that you can get real cheap on ebay.Ive seen them go as low as 40.00.
