People will eat those up here: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php

Be sure to follow the rules and post them in the appropriate section or they'll jump on you worse than here.

How many times has this one been brought back to life?

AR90 Epilogue: IIrc, I settled for $300 in a local pickup sale and learned soon thereafter that the new owner didn't like how they sounded in his room and was planning on parting them out to other projects. Mine not only had all six low-end drivers professionally re-edged; they also had rebuilt/upgraded XOs. 300 bucks.

Great sound for $300, to be sure, but such deals are commonplace in the shrinking audiophile hobby these days, particularly now that people are downsizing everything from their system to their entire home.

My take-away.. as cool as AR90s were in 1979, they have been surpassed by more modern designs and do not warrant a costly restoration unless they are your be-all/end-all speakers.
System: PS Audio HCA-2, PCA-2 + HCPS, Acoustat Model 2+2.
    Tweaks: Behringer DEQ2496, SRC2496, SU9920.
