I looking at getting a single 10" Polk Momo MM2104DVC or the single coil model. This is for a modest (not comp) system in a Honda Accord Sedan. I already have a Kenwood Excelon Monoblock (RMS 919W @ 2ohms or 533W @ 4ohms). Which version of the momo should I get? They seem to be identical subs besides one is dual core? I would assume the dual coil, but what do you guys think? Oh, yeah and the box will be a sealed .85 cubic made with 3/4 MDF.

Any input is appreciated

    ok

the DVC is 2 Ohms or 4 Ohms, and the SVC, its just 4 Ohms...

for that AMP you should get 2 MMC 2104 DVC with the gain of the amp at 3/4 of the normal voltaje (check your HU volts)

    or better

2 MMC 2124 DVC with your gains at 7/8 of the regular gain

get the dual voice coil and hook it up like in this diagram
    http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/1DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg

The dual voice coil allows you to put a 2 ohm load on the amp where as with one single voice coil you have to put 4 ohms on the amp and take that power loss.

haha I'm sorry I'm tired its late. I'm not even sure how much power that sub can handle and if your amp puts out as much power as you say you'll have one busted sub if your not careful with the input gains and i'll feel bad. But yea with 300 watt RMS and sticking with what you got you should go with single voice coil hook it up in 4 ohm and take it easy on your gain and volume levels unless you get a sub that can handle more power.
