ok i wanted my system as clean as i can get it so i didn't want to run difrent types of amps,so i have 1 alpine 4 channel running my four polk 6.5 a alpine 1 channel amp running my gnx 104 pushing 175 rms but i relize i want one more woofer and i can't find a 2 channel alpine that will push 175w to 2 channels,i only find ones that push 110 per channel and i have no room for a 3rd amp any suggestions on what kinda amp i should buy to replace my single channel alpine

    two GNX 104's = a 2 ohm load parallelled.... so u need 300 - 400 x 1 at 2 ohms.

    the following alpine Mono amps will work...

    1- MRP-M350 (this is the black case "baseline" alpine mono) does 350 x 1 at 2 ohms (175 per sub).

    2- MRD-300 (this is the white "better" alpine mono) does 300 x 1 at 2 ohms (150 per sub).

    or you can go with a 4 channel and bridge the front and rears...

    MRV-F540 (white case) does 200 x 2 bridged at 4 ohms.

    personally -- the F540 is the best amp for the job... why? class AB versus D... and more power.

    but its more money -- its like 500 bucks versus like 300 probably for the MRD300 / MRPM350.
