Hi all,
OK my current system is all set up and my new sunfire amp is just great. Surprise, surprice I want more...
I am looking for a new receiver/pre/pro to complement my current setup.
Some of the features I been reading about that I would like to have are: the latest HDMI support, HD radio, pre-outs, Internet ready - it would be great if it already had wireless network capability, USB support in the front, etc... the next level up in terms of HT and music detail.

I been reading about BK ref 70, sunfire (I canot find much on their new pre-amp), Marantz AV8003(mantis), even the new Pioneer elite line up sc-05 and sc-07 -which I have to say they look very good but they have introduced ICe power as their amp section and I have questions how it would behave with my sunfire.
After looking at what is comming it just seams to me that no one product will have a product that I would say I am set for the next 3-5 years...
Is it me or do you all feel that way...

Now is a bad time to get a real pre only. You could get a receiver for much less with all the features you want, and hold off till the pre's come outwith what you want, and their price drops in half.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

My budget is 2K to 3K.
Ben, I agree with you but even on the receivers they just seam to be all over the place.
I been reading and Onkyo 805 or Pioneer 94TH or 92TH are the best price for all the features you get. I have seen the 805 for less than 600$, the 94TH 1100$ and 92th for about 800$. all new...

Congratulations on the Sunfire. I got the same one. I am using an old Integra receiver with it as well but will be looking for something new in the future.

Congrats to you too Bondslex. did you get it from the same place I did? that turn out to be a great deal. I love my amp. It has enough power for the future and most important it runs cool and it does not weight a ton.

Anything you are looking at to replace the integra?

I actually got my Sunfire from a local dealer in my area. It is a great amp. I am considering the Integra 9.8 to replace my older integra. If not that, I might get an Onkyo 805 or 875 in silver to match my amp. The integras only come in black. I loved the finish of the Sunfire.

check out the emotiva web site, and one of their soon to be released pre-pros might fit the bill. I picked up an MMC-1 pre-pro from them a few months back, and it is a wonderful sounding pre-pro. It does not, however, have all the features you are looking for. The Emotiva MMC/DMC-1 is clone like to the Sunfire Grand Theater 3. Good luck with your selection.
