    You might want to look into the Sharp 64U model. It’s about the same price as the Sony and 2" bigger. I would tell you to go to the store and compare them but the way the screens are calibrated for the stores is nothing like how they will look in your house once you calibrate it yourself.

    eh... if that's what you really want, I say go for it. But you really need to take into account many personal things concerning your choices on a television. You don't want to be stuck with the wrong thing and Circuit City and Best Buy charge a restocking fee.
    I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right

    +1 if you OK with Visio (I personally think they are a great value). Sam's Club and Wal-Mart also sell Visio.

    To answer the question about the Sony, yes it's a great TV (I have a Bravia) but a little pricey for a 40". Unless it's a bedroom TV, I go for something larger.

    I dont like the look of Vizios, they are nice for the price. The colors never look right.
    Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!
