No rules. Past, present, or future. Any level including your kids soccer team.

Mine used to be the KC Royals and Chiefs of course being from MO. Otis Taylor you rocked. Now it is the Rockets of course, especially after they won back to back championships in the 94-96 seasons with not a lot of talent according to everyone else (Kenny Smith, Mario Elie, Clyde Drexler, Hakeem Olajuwon, Otis Thorpe, Robert Horry, Sam Cassell, Rudy Tomjanovich as coach, etc)

Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard are 2 of my all-time favorite athletes.

Favorite athlete of all time is....
    Darryl Strawberry. Seriously.

Other than that, the usual suspects. ATL Hawks, Braves, and Falcons. Louisville Cardinals on the side.

One year, the Orioles (emphasis on that first "O") had four 20-game winners: Cuellar, Palmer, McNally, and Pat Dobson. When was that? '70? '71?

1980 USA Olympic Hockey Team. Today it's just a bunch of overpaid professionals playing at the Olympics. The "Miracle on Ice" game can't be beat!

Gotta second the motion on Brooks Robinson.
    No excuses!

I wouldn't say the Rockets were "starving for talent" with the likes of Olajuwon and Drexler.

Sorry, as a former Baltimoron, I cannot go along with Elway, who refused to play for the Colts. Now, he may have made a good call, but still... :-)

I always liked the 49ers growing up. Montana, Rice, Young, Lott, lots of talent moved through that program. Unlike the rabbid packer fans who say Favre is the best QWB of all time hands down, I won't say Montana is the best QB of all time, but he sure was fun to watch. Cool, poised, and always made the throw when it counted...

Rice, well he certainly wasn't the most athletic wide receiver to ever play, but I don't think many people would argue with him being one of the best receivers overall. I'm sure Moss or owens could run faster, jump higher, and hit harder...but if the game was on the line and I had one guy to throw it to, it's going to Jerry no question.

Tiger woods is on my list as well, any guy who dominates his sport the way he does has to be up there

Pretty sure this thread is call Who Was/Is Your Favorite Athlete and/or Sports Team. Not a subjective thread about who the best of all time in any given sport was. Maybe I am confused...or does every thread just need to turn into an argument?

Boog's barbecue pit could be THE best stadium concession stand of any ballpark. He was one of the most likable and recognizable Orioles of his time. I bet he's got some great stories for family gatherings!!!!!!
