Between 1995-1999 , I had a thang' for the Baltimore Orioles. They had a pretty potent and well rounded line-up in the 97/98 time-frame. Looking back though, the real reason I enjoyed em so much had to do with Cal Ripken Jr. He may not have been the champion of this or that (besides the streak).. but he was a solid player and was the last of the "good ole boys" who played with integrity.

My 2006 AYSO U14 girls soccer team. I had a ref tell me they were the toughest team he'd ever seen (we were playing with 8 girls against a full team and almost won).

They got healthy again, and won a lot of games including the championship. During the championship run they allowed one goal in 5 games, and that was a penalty kick.

Pro teams.....The 1995 Mariners. They came back from 0-2 to beat the Yankees in a best of 5. That got Buck Showalter fired.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Probably my 2nd favorite team of all time. I vividly remember that last month of the season. It was incredible.

Well, here's a surprise. Wayne Gretzky. He changed the game and brought resurgence to hockey in the USA. I watched him play from the time he was 5 years old.
