Okay so I was at Best Buy tonight to pick up a movie. I saw they had just gotten in two of the new Samsung BR players. Since I murdered the stock market this week I did an impulse buy and picked up a BD-P1500! WOOT!:D
I will have to do a good review soon, but watched one BR disc tonight and was blown away by the PQ. I am FINALLY a BR owner!! One odd thing about this, when I opened it there was some promotional packaging in there. It was brand new for sure, but had promotional cardboard signs. When the kid went to ring it up the UPC was not on file. He said, oh I guess it's too new and rang it up under the older Samsung number- same price ($399).
I might be one of the few with this player at the moment.

Congrats man! Also, welcome to the world of Blu-ray! I see you have a Mitsubishi 1080p projector, it will eat Blu-ray up.
Here are two screenshots of mine in action playing Blu-ray.

WOW! Those are awesome! I watched Hitman on BR and The Kingdom on SD this morning. For the quick fix, I just hooked it up to my Sammy DLP in the living room which only supports 1080i. All I can say is, if the PQ can still get better I am going to never leave the theater! My Main Gear

Enjoy, make sure to check and see if you need any firmware updates. Most BR players, regardless of brand, are having some issues with certain movies---the companies are doing a pretty good job of keeping up with firmware patches.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Source: Rotel CD14MkII CD Player - Speakers: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
