Does anybody use one of these or owned one in the past? When did they hit the market?

In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?

Same as the 1500 - great for HT, so-so for music.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Its from about 1990-1995,
200W into 8ohms.
Its pre- John Curl. Their later amps are definitely better designed.
Just to be sure, your not talking about the HCA-1200ii (mk2 version) are you?
The Mk2 version was slightly redesigned by John Curl. The HCA-1500a is still a better amp overall.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here. -
Good info Bill.
Yeah its definitely the 1200 and not the MkII.In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?
