Would it make any difference besides protection or lack of....as to which of these 2 are plugged directly into the wall plug and the other into a basic for now surge protector which will be upgraded quite soon...A Denon 3808 and the amp is a Rotel RB-993......right now the Denon is in the wall plug...will change and listen....just looking to see if anyone has heard a difference.thanks

plug whatever is more expensive into the surge protector.
