help with FIOS reciever

so i've been living with FIOS for a little over a month now, and i've noticed that sometimes the sound will just "drop out". out of the blue, for no apparent reason. and it is a continuous thing, on multiple channels, mostly on the HD stuff, but not always limited to them. what should i do, call them and tell them to boost my signal or something? ahh, what a blower when you reach the pinnacle of a show, and then the chick is like,

"what i REALLY want to do is "_________."' (audio returns after this point.)
blast it all, i had this problem with DirecTV before this, but i can understand because directv sucks worse...this is supposed to be a dedicated line to my house, right?

    Mine drops out sometimes also. I complained to verizon, but they said "It's probably the network dropping out not our service. " was the answer I got.
    I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

    isn't their service "the network"? i have to LOL at this. it's almost like companies don't want to take responsiblity for their services that customers are paying hard earned dollars for...man, that doesn't inspire confidence. however, it's better than the Directv, OR the bunny ears i was rockin' for about 6 months after that whole ordeal.

    I've been using FIOS for TV for over a year now-No problems-except for slow guide and skip fwd and back performance issues, but I had those with Comcast as well -Didn't think much of it since they both use the same Motorola HD DVR model.
    Verizon recently (December for me) upgraded the software/GUI/Guide, now the performance is much much better-more responsive.
    With Comcast, the only audio issues I had, (and they could not rectify), was when a 5.1 encoded show was playing, and it was decoded and playing properly live, when it was recorded (either by recording or timeshifting), when played back or resumed, it was only 2 channel. I do not have this issue anymore under Verizon-again with the same box. I am sure the firmware is a different version though.

    By network I meant the channel as in Fox CBS NBC etc.
    I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D
