Projector Screen PROBLEM

Hey all,
Wasnt sure where to post this one..
attaching a picture of my screen.
in the upper left hand corner of my screen there is what appears to be a vertical mark (like a liquid substance ran down the screen)
It is 8 inches in length on a 100'' diag screen. This picture is just of that area of the screen... it is not a pic of the whole screen in which case this huge mark would be going down the entire screen.
the mark is visible from certain angles and disappears at others... I do not have the projector yet to test and have a limited time to return. the projector could take a week to get here ground from NY.
This is an elite screen so it only cost 100. but cost 20 to ship, so to send it back is going to be at least 20 bucks if not more. I expected problems going with a cheapy... but not sure if this is worth it.. even though it is obviously visible under my ceiling lights...not sure if it will show under projection.
also if you look at the screen from side views up close you can see the entire screen has similar marks like the screen was wiped down, or that these impressions are made when the screen is made if the material is applied in some way as a liquid then dries???
Is there a proper cleaning agent I could try wiping the screen down with to see if it makes the mark go away??
thanks for any advice

I would talk with the people you bought the screen from, maybe they can recommend a cleaning product...It looks to me like you received a $100. "Second"

Agreed, trash it and get a Carada. You get what you pay for bro, good thing you only dropped 100 clams on it. Carada is the SVS of screens guy, excellent product, excellent service. During white projected images you'd probably see those marks as well. You could try using, mild soap/water wiping in one direction.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

I have a Carada and it had a bit of a problem like that for the first week. It was just a fold where the screen had overlapped in shipping which straightened itself out from being stretched after about a week. Yours looks like an actual liquid may have been spilled on the screen so I would just contact the seller for refund or replacement. I spent about 700 on my screen and love it (after the first week). My Main Gear

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried to wipe it down, it looks like up close it was the way the screen was made, I think the white surface must be applied as a liquid or something...either way I do believe it was a second because the frikin hardware to hang it was missing.. I ordered this one from new egg and they are going on my bad list.
I ordered another from amazon (so im going to be out some bucks on shipping but so what...I think I just put in another post you have to expect this kind of stuff dealing online for rock bottom prices.. but selling a second and not declaring it is shady business so i will never use new egg again.)
who referred me to them, you're in trouble..nah i dont really mind.Rti10 front, csi5, Rti6 surrounds, PSW505, B&K200.7s2, Onkyo705. -
Suprised that came from newegg.....they have one of the top reputations on the net. I've ordered thousands and thousands worth of parts from them, never an issue.

I have an Elite screen and there customer service was outstanding. I'd contact Elite, if the screen is under warranty, they will send you out new screen material. Just e-mail them that photo and I'm sure they will take care of it.Money Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!

Agreed, I use Newegg for numerous parts, etc. Great service, Im sure if you call them they would replace it, easily and perhaps pay for return shipping back on the old one.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Are you sure it is actually a second? Put whomever you want on your bad list, but I would make sure before I got mad. Also I would give them a chance to make it right, not everything comes out right the first time. There are two ways to argue with women. Both of them are wrong.

they wouldnt pay return shipping. not their policy. explained the screen was clearly damaged and that the hardware was missing indicating the package had obviously been opened and probably returned before.
they "kindly" waived the restocking fee.
Im not mad, just annoyed..but again have to expect dealing online this stuff will happen.Rti10 front, csi5, Rti6 surrounds, PSW505, B&K200.7s2, Onkyo705. -
