My wife's grandfather and uncle have maintained a TV and radio repair and parts shop for over 30 years. The shop is closing this week and everything needs to be sold.
I don't know specifics on what he has left, but if there is something old and/or obscure that youve been looking for, he may have it. Let me know what specifically you're looking for, and I can check if he's got it.
I know he had plenty of old TVs and parts and some old stereo gear and parts including replacement tubes. I'll see if I can get a better idea of inventory from him.

See if he has a Sansui AU-11000 integrated amp and a Sansui TU-9900 tuner somewhere in the back room.

Actually, that might work out for some of the tube guys on here; he might have some ORIGINAL original tubes, etc in boxes that they'd find use for.Sal Palooza -
I need red based RCA , Tung Sol or Sylvania 6SN7 tubes please. Also KT88, 6550 tubes.

Sorry, no luck on the Sansui gear. -

Chuck
I know nothing about tubes, so sorry if I'm going the wrong direction, but the only 6SN7 he has is a single RCA 6SN7 GTB. He sold his last pair of KT88 a few days ago and had no 6550. Interested in the single RCA? -
Any amperex 6922/7308 variants?
-
OK, got a better idea of what he has left now...not much, unfortunately...unless you like tubes (and really cheap cables and novelty telephones and old AM clock radios NIB and...). I'll probably put some of the stuff I found in the FM in the next few days, but if any of you with tube gear need something specific, let me know as he plans on getting a tube inventory list ready this week.
For tubes, he's mainly got RCA, Sylvania, Westinghouse, GE "5 star", a few Amperex (including some I-tubes?), and a few Tung-sol.
TT owners - he's got a fair number of Shure needles left (not sure of all the models, but if you're looking for a specific needle, I can ask).
Locals - he's got a few new TVs left (1 or 2 small lcd - nothing fancy, and a couple crt). -
Any amperex 6922/7308 variants?
I'll try and find out for you tomorrow. Anything variant in particular? -
Pa1001a chip possibly? It's for the tuner section (I think) of a Pioneer SX1280 receiver (late 70's)God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

I doubt it (he didn't do as much audio repair as tv), but I can ask. If he did, he might not even be able to find it in the rubble now, though. -
Dibs on any shure v15 phono cartridges you have.

I'll see if he's got any...you want all if he does? -
Yes depending on the price.

Don't know his prices, but he's got to move them. How much would you like to pay for each (pm me if you prefer)? -
That's a pretty famous and expensive cartridge. I would be surprised if he has any. If he does it would be best for you to do some research on what they're worth to make sure you get a fair price.
I think the ge 5 star tubes are pretty good too. I'm not sure I want any of them but someone else might if you could make a list of what he has and whether they are NIB (new in box). -

No problem...I'll check on the shure.
All tubes are NIB (he has a whole cabinet full of them - maybe 150 of them). Hope to get a list, but he has quite the chore of cleaning out to do...and a lot of tubes to list.

I'd be interested in the shure v15 phono cartridge too.SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

[Locals - he's got a few new TVs left (1 or 2 small lcd - nothing fancy, and a couple crt)./QUOTE]
How small are the LCD TV's? I've been looking for something in the 12" - 15" range. -

The smallest (and maybe only) I saw was a 20" LG. He had a price of $4?? on it originally. -
I'll take a 20" LG LCD for $4 if it's working

I have actually been looking for another working, small LCD for my place. I could REALLY use a stylus (needle) for a Shure V15-III cartridge!

How about some knobs for a champaign colored HK receiver?
-
I may have a need for the M91 stylus.

I didn't see anything like this when I was there...didn't really have much of any parts for audio gear. -
George Grand wrote: »I may have a need for the M91 stylus.
I may be able to get it/them (he may have more than 1) for you. PM me with what kind of deal you'd like to see and I'll see if I can make it happen. -
he called tonight to tell me he has a HH Scott 340B receiver. It works and has all tubes.
Anyone know anything about this model, particularly what the market value might be? What's a fair price?
This one may make its way to the FM with a few other things very soon.
