Anyone seen, heard, etc. this piece? I've found one locally, and while pricey, it offers some great features and unlike a lot of other Lexicon pre-pros, might be fairly future proof. I read that it offers up to 2 5.1 analog inputs, so I could use one for an HD-DVD player and one for a BR player if I go down that path.
What would be a fair price for one in excellent condition with all the fixins? Anyone have blue book value? I can't find much price info online.
For the short time I had a very old CP-3, I was very impressed with its build quality, functionality, etc. for a piece that was 15 years old. It just didn't have any of the current day features, only early ProLogic.

It's a real love/hate thing with lexicon.Some say they are too sterile sounding and some really like it.Most who don't like them say Proceed is way better.Just my .02 as I have personally never heard that unit.HT SYSTEM-

Yeah, I see some good Proceed stuff out there from time to time as well. I'm really thinking of pulling the trigger on an older but nicer pre-pro to get me by for a year or two longer until HDMI is universal in prepros and less buggy.
The Proceed that I could probably afford would be and AVP-S. I actually have one on my watch list that's right down the street at a iSoldit.
If anyone has price info on the Lexicon, please pass it along. If I get a great deal, I'll buy it and play with it for a while. The Proceeds show up on the Gon for $800-$1000, but it is the AVP2 that seems to be the best of the bunch and shares a lot of the same components as the Levinson 40.

Yeah, I know the Proceed AVP-2 has some additional functionality that the AVP / AVPS don't offer. However, it's also about $2K as opposed to $800 or so. I think I'd rather "get by" with the cheaper one as it would only be in my system for a couple years. The AVP-2 will probably see a big depreciation when newer models come out in the next 12 months while the AVP-S has already experienced that depreciation.

I hope so but that may not happen. Proceed is long gone and I have not seen the high end market jump on the HDMI bandwagon yet. The AVP2 holds its value because of its excellent 2 channel performance, which is overlooked in the HDMI market. We will see what happens.
