I really wasn't expecting to see this until mid-February, but it arrived Saturday with white glove install from Amazon. The Bush stand I bought in preparation is an excellent match. Thanks to Jim (jtgranby) for the heads-up on the combo sale with the DMP-BD30K BD player.

A Wii console was Sandy's birthday request, the rest was a surprise. She and the kids love it and I'll have to admit that watching movies is nothing short of spectacular. She went to dinner with her Mom and sisters last night and the kids and I binged on movies until we threw in the towel in the wee hours this morning.

Fit, finish, and ease of setup all score high points with me. PQ for HDTV is also exceptionally good. SDVD play is a 10 and Blue-Ray play is jaw dropping.

Some Wii action:

Yes they are. I have the 50" and in one day, it dropped then bounced back up and not back up higher. I had emailed when it dropped and they had a credit submitted that day, processed within a day or 2.

I'm pretty happy, even for the small credit considering it went back up about $300 last I saw. :D

    Jim

Thanks for the heads-up, Jim. I sent an email this morning. When the TV was invoiced (itemized out of the bundle deal with the Blu-Ray player) it looked like this:

    Item(s) Subtotal: $3,269.99
    Shipping & Handling: $121.81
    Shipping Savings: -$121.81
    Promotion Applied: -$355.44

    Total Before Tax: $2,914.55
    Sales tax: $0.00
    Total for this Shipment: $2,914.55

They applied the lion's share of the bundle promotion discount to the TV. I got it net for $135.14 less than the current price--but, it's $220.30 cheaper now gross. So, it will be interesting to see what happens.

Seems that your tv needs calibration !

First, reduce the sharpness to -17 -20 ( it will reduce the fake/grainy picture on the wii and tv programming)
put the picture between 22 and 25
Adjust the color temps to warm or normal
play with the brightness so you can still see dark clothes ( without being grey)but small wrinkles on them.

THe most imporant part is to reduce the brightness

    congrats for your purchase!

I think they look only at the selling price at the time you bought it, without consideration of promotions. They respond pretty quick and I'll bet you'll be happy when they do. :D

Damn! Thanks again Jim!! You're right J_Kennedy:

    "Hello from Amazon.com.

The discounts we offer for items sold by Amazon.com can vary from time to time. I've checked your order and found that we now offer a greater discount on "Panasonic TH-58PZ700U 58" 1080p Plasma HDTV" than at the time you placed your order.

Since your purchase shipped within the past 30 days, I've requested a refund of $222.66 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference between the price you were charged for the item and the current price offered by Amazon.com. This refund should be processed in the next few days and will appear as a credit on your next billing statement.

Sweet! Have two of the Pros, and love em. I've found that the larger sets have a little more image retention than the smaller ones, so I dialed down the settings for a couple of weeks during the burn in period. Looked so good,I forgot they were low, and left them like that for a couple of months. 98% of the Kuro's picture for half the price. Congrats!
