Let us know how the new PC cord works with your system and if it makes a difference. I am sure the MH would be fine as a transport. I was using my Denon 2900 as a transport with a Bel Canto Dac and was pleased with the performance. Also check out the Benchmark Dac's.

The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie - deliberate, contrived and dishonest - but the myth - persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. -

I have heard the Rega Apollo....
Carl, how does the Quad compare to the Rega? I remember the Quad 99 CDP-2 being a very impressive CDP for the coin. Try finding a used Museatex DAC and having it 'upgraded'. It will make you rethink the entire digital process and allow you to stop thinking of 'the next upgrade'. While it is rare I do see them pop up every once in awhile. If you're after an analog signature there simply is no better DAC.

Lexicon RT-10
Anyone have experience with this player? I've enjoyed my budget universal + DAC for a year or so but am looking for an all in one solution now.
There is one locally that I am talking to a guy about. Also thinking about a Marantz SA-14 locally but the guy won't come down enough on price for me. Must be SACD. I had an awesome CD player (MF 3.2) but hated not being able to play my SACDs on it as well.
DVD playback is a bonus, but not required. I'm looking to spend $500 - $700. Any other ideas?Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -

Let me/us know if you get it and what you think. There is one on audiogon right now but I'm taping my clicking finger down so I don't make an offer on the darn thing... -
I've owned a couple pieces of Lexicon but never listened to them.....that's just plain sad amd unacceptable. I'd be interested to hear some feedback as well.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? I realize that you are looking for something a tad more gucci however If bang for the buck is your factor one of the best kept secrets out there is the Denon DVD 2900. These things typically sell for $ 200 used on Ebay and offer a separate built in SACD decoder, plus they do HDCD, and DVD Audio.
They are on a very stable all metal chases and for $200 I dont think you can find a better player.
