RTi equivalent Center Channel that's less than 19" wide
I have a dilemma. I have RTi10 fronts, and fxi3 rears, but my center channel is a CS1. The reason for the CS1 is because it's only 18" wide, and it fits perfectly in my wooden tv stand. I'd prefer to not put a center channel on top of the tv for aesthetic reasons. Is there another brand center channel that is less than 19" wide, that would match the RTi series? I don't believe Polk makes a center that's less than 19" wide besides the CS1 and the VM series.

I wouldnt mix and match the front soundstage, keep the Csi3 and find a way to make it work. I would actually recommend the larger Csi5. Good luck on quest though. Sounds like a great theater in the process.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

You could use a rti4 or 6 and lie it on it's side?

I'm even thinking of using one or two as my mains as I can't seem to get a good deal on a used csi5.

how would 2 rti4's sound as a center channel? That might actually work in my tv stand. The same # of mid's as a csi3, but twice the tweeter! I think i'll give it a shot.
Has anyone tried this? This should be easy to compare for anyone with a csi5 and rti4 surrounds. -
I think you can still get a pair of rti4's at frys for $149. thats cheaper than a csi3When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

Check Outlaw Audio, they are going to release a center speaker that is 19" wide. All of their components are quality and customer service is great. I think it sell for around $600.

Hey all..
I am currently using my one rti6 as a center to match my front 10's. (my csi5 arrived broken, so I am waiting on a new one)
The minute I plugged it in....I could hear the difference ( i was using one of my bose cubes as a center...laughable now i Know)...It totaly matches the 10s...great solution...but i'm still getting the csi5....
as I was sitting in my "ghetto home theater" (no room for the 10's the rti6 or the amp sitting on the hardwood floor...as I am waiting on moving all the stuff to the new living room) it occured to me... that although my set up looks quite ghetto at the moment... it frikin rocks...cant wait till I am in the new living room...Rti10 front, csi5, Rti6 surrounds, PSW505, B&K200.7s2, Onkyo705.
