I just picked it up tonight at the store and will be watching it this weekend. From everything i've read, it's stunning and a must see.

I saw the director's cut back in 96 in the theater and the definive cut a couple of months ago in the best screen in nyc (ziegfeld). The latest version is by far the best.
I read the review on sound and vision magazine and they named the blu-ray version as a reference disc.

I want the Blu-ray brief case but it's a bit pricey so I'll just opt for the 5-disc basic set.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.

I watched it last night. Hands down the best version! I'm glad all the narration was gone as it was a distracting part of earlier versions.

I bought the regular (non-HD) DVD. The picture is stunning as is the SQ! The score by Vangelis sounds incredible!

    Definitely buy this one! Outstanding!

This movie has been out since 1982. It was Ridley Scott's third movie, right after Alien.

It's considered Sci-Fi/Fantasy. It went through several different versions/cuts over the years, most notably, with and without the Harrison Ford narration. Ridley Scott personally watched over this final cut of the movie.

The ending was talked and debated about for quite a long time with regard to Deckard and who he is.

    ****? Apparently. :(

I misread the title. I thought we were talking about the new BLADE that was out... i was in Blockbuster the other day, and saw that there was another Blade film... and know it didn't the theater. Thought that this was the convo.

    My bad ;)

Thanks for pointing out my silly mistake!

    Cheers!

Hard to believe that movie was first released in 1982. Top notch restoration!

Always was one of my favorites....but the VQ never seemed up to par. You gotta love the little toymaker! And the evil villains certainly play their parts to the hilt. I'll have to make this my first HD/BR pick....it is in both formats?

Absolutely a replicant, how could a human beat the replicants in a fight?

I can't really tell since Deckard didn't consumate his relationship with what's her name..
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

BR on the big screen was one of my birthday gifts a few weeks ago, the wife took the day off and we dropped the kids off at school and saw it on the big screen in the middle of the day. I also got it in my stocking from 'Mrs Clause' haven't had the opportunity to play it. On a side note a friend of a friend owns the blimp that floats around the city in his living room. I remember walking in to his home and having a jaw dropping moment, at which point he dimmed the lights and 'turned' on the blimp, it has tiny fiber-optic lights all over, wow just wow!

Yes in the movies, you are correct because it is in the movie.
