I bought my SRS 2's used from a guy who bought them used.
I would like to check for proper phase and wiring of the drivers.
I am getting a hollow, almost phasey sound on some voices.

The tweeters are not marked for polarity.

Does anyone know what wire color goes to what terminal ?

Also, how can I check to be sure all my drivers are the correct ones for this speaker ?

The 1986 blade/blade version and the 1987 pin/blade version both use the same wiring color code:

Top tweeter: black (+), white (-)
Bottom tweeter: blue (+), white (-)

Dimensional Drivers: blue (+), green (-)
Stereo Drivers: black (+), white (-)

This parts list tells which drivers are used in each model:SDA Parts List

The tweeters and drivers should have a red dot on the positive terminal. Some SL2000 tweeters have a "+" sign carved into the plastic next to the terminal rather than a red dot.

My recommendation? Buy the SDA Compendium. I bet I know someone "close" here that could set you up! It's a great book, a great read and just darn nice to have around.

On the SL2000 tweeters, isn't there a "+" molded into the plastic at one of the terminals? I thought remembered seeing that when I peeled back that foam piece.

Let me know if you know where to get a copy of the SDA Compendium. Also, I am looking for a pair of Polk SDA SRS emblems.

    THANKS DarqueKnight!

When i looked at the stereo divers, BOTH wires for the bottom drivers were black.'
One had a piece of white tape on it, so I assumed it was white.

I NEED to check all my drivers and connections.

HOW can i be sure all stereo and dimensional drivers are the correct ones ?

Maybe someone stuck a stereo driver in the dimensional array, just wanna be sure.

I will also peel the foam on tweeters to see polarity is correct.

I am getting a phasey sound that kinda sounds like an out of phase driver somewhere!

The drivers are supposed to have a label on the back that lists the type and date of manufacture.
