If anyone has FR problems with standing waves, peaks, and nulls - this tool is the solution. It's better than an EQ and the price is right.
For taming multiple sources of bass, subs in different corners, main speaks on large, nasty room modes, etc. - the BFD is very useful.

I've read that it would also be excellent to get rid of feedback in a PA system. It locks into a feeback situation and automaticly detects the frequency of feedback and sets up a very narrow filter to eliminate the problem. Great for a small band or any live venue using a mike and PA.

Yes - that is the intended professional use for this unit, as the name implies. Some egghead just figured out one day that it would also be great for taming nasty room modes. It works exceptionally well at this, with - like you said - very flexible and narrow filtering capabilities."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
