One of the connections to the speaker came off when my new sub was being shipped to me. I was able to determine this by removing the back panel. However I cannot reach the terminal on the speaker itself through the back panel. Can anyone tell me how to remove the front panel so I can re-attach the wire to the speaker?

You could remove the screws for the speaker itself.

Do you know how to do this? Have you seen a schematic?

After I remove the screen the only thing I see are the plugs for the screen. There are no visible screws or screws behind the plugs. Is this panel glued on?

The screws are hiding behind a "gasket" on the rim of the speaker.

Found them, removed the speaker, and re-connected the loose wire.

    Thank you.

Hey, question for you - what kind of wire was it leading from the internal amp to the speaker ? Can you figure the guage, type of insulation (if any) ?

(warning - I have an ulterior motive here.....)

I had a stock 505. I guess the guage was around 16, if I was told it was 18 I wouldnt be too surprised, but if I was told it was 14 I wouldnt be surprised either. in other words, it was nothing remarkably thick or thin.

I modded mine with a defferent driver, polyfill, beefier plate amp, and of course.....12 guage wire :D
