Dissolve blue loctite

Anyone know how to remove blue loctite from screw threads?
Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend.

    Dremel has an attachment that looks kind of like a scotch pad. That should do it. be careful using anything metal as it could disrupt the threads on the screw.

    Well, sure....I guess this would also work if you wanted the screw to have some threads left.:D

    Boil the screws in water. The locktite will soften enough to simply wipe off. Don't burn your fingers.

    For bolts, use a Die. For nuts, use a tap.

    Heat will soften and release blue Loctite. If it was the red stuff then you have to get physical with it.

    One of the red Loctites has to be heated to 450 or 500 degrees to get it to release.

    If the blue Loctite is what I think it is--2-ethylhexylmethacrylate polymer, aka crazy glue--then it will dissolve in acetone, and probably in most types of nail polish remover.

    just get a big screw driver and break it lose or the right tool. i use it all the time on my rc car. sence all the set screws will fall off if i dont.
