Getting ready for 3.1TL Crossover Upgrade...

I am going to upgrade the xovers and have a couple of questions for the experts here; for the 1.2TL's I used Solen with great results, but want to go with Sonicaps here.

So the schematics show the following (per speaker):

Lows:

1 Electro 24uF ---- Replacement: Sonicap Gen I 24uF / 200VDC
1 Electro 55uF ---- Replacement: Sonicap Gen I (2x20 + 15) uF / 200VDC

Highs:

1 Electro 12uF ---- Replacement: Sonicap Gen I 12uF / 200VDC
1 Mylar 12uF ---- Replacement: Sonicap Gen I 12uF / 200VDC

1 1.3 ohm resistor ---Replacement: Mills 5W

So here are the questions:

-Does it make a difference the Mylar/Electro references on the schematics? I'm guessing no, since I'm using film for replacement anyway....just want to make sure I don't screw up...

-I've seen on some threads mention to the "0.1 bypass capacitor"; is this some addition, or is it just that the 3.1's don't have it?

I have the polyswitches and micas, so just need to place this order; will keep original inductors.

    I sent a copy of my schems to Jeff,he sent me any invoice with explanations,,,zap,,,done---(he will even make custom caps(values))I used the .1uf cap in place of the silver micas on my 2.3's.Good luck. :)

    Thanks George; hmmm.....custom caps? That sounds great; a lot better than piggybacking (Sp) three caps to get to 55uf....

    So the 750pF silver mica is the bypass cap? So...why using .1uF? .001uF would be a better match....I guess I'll contact Jeff to understand this....I wonder why I chose Mechanic vs. Electronic :)
