Even though I love the sound of the new LSI's that I just bought The system is just to much for my living room. Everything is to big for the space and I can hardly use any volume without being blown away, therefore I will go back to a 5.1 system rather than the 7.1 I now have. I will put my lsifx's in the back position and regrettabley give up my lsi'9s. I will also go with a physically smaller subwoofer. Listed below is what I am selling. All prices are firm and plus 1/2 shipping. Thanks.

LSI9's ebony(pair) 500.00

Parasound HCA-1000 2 channel amp 300.00
ATI at1505 5 channel amp 700.00

All items are in excellent condition. The 9's are as new. email me for additional information.

    Have you considered using Lsi-7's for the rear channels? Keep in mind that there are more ES and EX titles being released all the time. Are you sure that you want to take a step backward?

    Russ, I am in South Carolina at 29732. Polk says the shipping weight is 75 lbs. I say more like 70 lbs.

    Frank, Yes, I have considered the 7's and may go that way in the future. I left my wire in the attic just in case I do go back to the 7.1 set up. I had the fx',s on the side walls and they were just to big and imposing up there. I have them in back now using them for ss and they look nice. If I return to a 7.1 I will probably use inwalls on the sides for ex channel. Have you heard of using the sides for the ex and the rear for ss? Think that would work?

    FYI Jimmie I'm still interested in the 9's - but some things have come up. I should be ready soon (I hope) - and I'll let ya know. Hopefully you will still have them by then. :)

    I'm suprised someone hasn't jumped on this yet.

    You are right. I thought someone would have jumped on these by now. I think many people are feeling this sluggish economy.
    I bumped to get this back on the first page. Let me know if you decide to get these.

    I am interested to have almost identical to your setup, assuming that you have LSi15 for the main...I am planning to 7.1 my 5.1, and have LSi9 for the rear. Since Phuz already in front of me on the LSi9, I am going to wait. In the mean time, since you have LSiFx and LSi9, did you compare the two for music listening? I am very interested to hear what you think of the two side by side...

    hey, I have a one year old Celestion S-8 sub (8", 100 watts) that I am thinking of upgrading to psw-650, would you be interested in trade + cash ? (won't hurt my feeling if you say no...)

    Phuz, don't you need a cherry LSi9 to match with what you already owned?

    I have exchanged email with Aaron and the 9's are sold. Side by side I believe the 9's have the edge. It would be very close. I don't even like comparing them because neither should be placed above the other. Remember that the fx's have the bi-pole/di-pole switch and when I am listening in my seating position I am not hearing them straight on like I would be the 9's. I think that is the main difference. There is a little different sound I think because the fx's disperse the sound side to side rather than straight on. Both are very clear and detailed. I listen to what most people call elevator music(easy listening), oldies and some light classical. I have the 15's up front and it is like setting in front of the orchestra. No instrument is masked. You hear them all. They do open up more after break-in. Great speakers! Thanks.

    I forgot to talk about the sub. I plan on getting a sunfire. I still have not decided which one. The 650 is a good sounding sub and a good looking sub but it is Big. I need to get something smaller to better fit in with the rest of the room layout.

    Have you got a amp for the back speakers? If not the Parasound I have listed is an excellent 2 channel for those.

    polkatese, these 9's are for a different room. I'm not going for 7.1, these are going to be for a seperate 2ch rig in the bedroom. :D

    thanks for your comments, I am going back and forth on having the LSi9 as the rear, since I felt that it is such a great speaker that it should be utilized more, rather than in the back. I have the 15/C/Fx setup today, driven by Rotel rsx-1065. I am thinking of having another Rotel to drive the 2 ch for the back with LSi9. Sunfire is also on my list of consideration, I think the super junior would be suffice.

    congrats! on the LSi9, I have ebony on the LSi15, it matches with the rest of my furniture....it's such a piece of gorgeous furniture, still admiring them :D

    I almost sold the fx's and keep the 9's. If I could not have gotten the 15's I would have no problem putting the 9's up front. That's with a sub of course.

    I love my fx, since I have a quite large family room where the system sits.....by design, the fx has made the music alive (on 5.1 stereo mode), a pair of 9's would make my living room an even more spacious soothing elevator....
