I am looking for a good condition (working and cosmetic) amp. It can be either black or silver .

B&k 2007. or 200.5--Anthem MCA-50---Parasound Halo A51 or Parasound 7250--

I have 4 ohm Polk LSI speakers and want a good dedicated amp for them. I am currently running B&K avr 507

Cheers

    whats wrong with the 507?? Thats what I used when I had them. The 200.7 does sound a bit better. It's alittle clearer with more dynamics. Pick one up and try it out. I think you'll dig the extra power but I don't think you need it with the 507.

    Hello Dan;

    I bought the 507 based on your recommendation couple of years ago. I liked it as it was the only receiver at that time (I tried Onkyo, Pioneer, Rotel) which made my LSI happy :) -my opinion

    I am trying to get into seperates as I have a dedicated HT room now. I want to get a good amp now and forget about it for a while. I can upgrade receivers as the tech changes...

    I just started to research amps and MAN way tooo many choices...gemstone, earthquake, sherbourn, anthem, B&K...to name a few

    Might also want to consider a used B&K 7270 or 7250, which differ from the 200.7 and 200.5 only by minor cosmetics and no XLR jacks, but do have manual channel adjustments. The prices are a little lower.

    My personal experience with a 7270 was that the B&K sound was not the best match for LSi's because the amp is even more mellow sounding than the Parasound Halo series. I'd suggest a Halo A52 for your application because the A51 would be unnecessary overkill for the speakers you're running now. I'm not selling mine, but Audioadvisor usually has them for around $1500 with the warranty intact. They typically run around $1100 or less on the used market. The A51's are much more.

    look on audiogon.com under multi channel amps you're sure to find a b&k 5 or 7 channel amp there, also you can negeotiate prices as well if you want power for the lsi 9's try bryston they have a twenty year warranty that's what i'm using on my lsi 9's the sound is awesome.

    good luck!

    Cool, dmamsa! I would be interested to read your comparo on Cinenova vs. Gemstone BD. I have a Gemstone for a year now. Very happy with it, plenty of brute force, and low volume details. I bought quite a lot of my gears from Steve Herrala (the owner of Gemstone)
    I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Does the steps like this:
    1. registered by one e-mail address and meet the error
    2. use another e-mail address to registered again (with the same usename ?)
    3. use the first registered name and password and no error

    thanks for your answer
