Anyone familar with this sealed beauty?

10 inch woof, 3 inch dome mid, 2 inch dome tweet. Found a pair minty at a local pawn-o-matic for $119.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Russ

Yeah, buy them. They're Altecs on the cheap. In my opinion Altec made 3 kind of speakers. Awesome, great and good. I would think the 315s fall somewhere between great and good in their day. At that price, they fall well within the great category.

Unfortunately Altec Lansing stopped doing quality home audio years ago. They carried on for a few years after J.B.L(ansing). left. No longer in stores, but I hear they are coming back with a 15in triaxial in-wall.

About 9 year ago I bought a pair of Altec Lansing Model 85 2 way bookshelf speakers (5 1/4" woofer, 1" tweeter) on clearance from 6th Ave. Sounded awesome for their size w/good bass response. Also, purchased a Polk CS245i center 2 years ago and they match up pretty good.
Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.
