CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
umm, I happen to have a somewhat fuzzy 'before' photo of the innards of my EICO HF-81 handy...
(i.e., before the ceramic coupling caps and those other nasty, waxy caps were replaced).
Don't have a rear-view of this particular amp, but I can provide a full frontal 'after' shot -- not the prettiest face, but a dang fine sounding amplifier nonetheless.
My **** is way dirtier than all yours. Maybe I'll remember next time I rearange my system.

Since I just moved my Parasound in for preamp duty and moved out my Yamaha to another system, I thought I'd open her up and clean her out. Snapped some pictures while I was in there. No front fascia or rear end pics, though.
Thanks AGAIN, to those folks willing to spin a tip. If you don't "pop the top" on your gear, you might want to look into another hobby.
I live for this, and everything gets an eyeball...if it's a really cool piece, I take some pics. Unless there is a sticker stating "Warranty Void" or some shite, break it open and take a look.
You should be involved in what you own, plain and simple. If you don't, you're lame.

I agree 100%. When I first look at gear, I always take a peek through the grills. After I purchase, I'll set it up, listen for a few, then off comes the top.
Look for pics of my HK AVR soon...

While I had my IC's off, trying to put them on correctly, I figured I might as well open everything up for a quick look.
The case came off the Parasound P/HP-850 very easily with only 6 screws...especially since they were really loose...ohskigod, you leave all your screws that loose?
Here are some pics of my Rotel RCD-02. The case on this was quite a bit more finicky, as you had to slide it off toward the back, and it fit kinda tight. Not difficult, though...just more difficult than the Parasound.
Again, sorry for the poor front and rear shots. And least the shots of the guts came out a lot better.
The little chip that says 'Sony CXP82440A'...what's that for? Is that to control the CD drive, which I assume is Sony? I couldn't find anything on it that I thougth looked like a DAC.
I guess it was made in 2002, eh?
I wonder whose logo that little squigly line is. It's on the main board and the one the analog RCA output jacks are on.
Here's a single shot of my VTL 2.5 preamp.
I was a little disappointed in how little is actually inside!
I replaced the original tubes with Mullard CV4003 and Sylvania 6350's.

Looking at some spec's myself it's a Sony Microcontroller // but looks like it could be driving the display perhaps checking on front panel switches being push or not.

I've owned a bunch of Rotel vintage gear and it's cool, but I haven't bought many pieces since owning them originally. The new gear really threw me for a loop, as I really liked the aesthetics and the simplicity of the interface. This is in regards to the RSP-1066...and it's siblings.
They're internally conservative but externally impressive. There is nothing internal that isn't done in the same price bracket but it's miles above generic gear in regards to layout and build quality.
