This Chicago craigslist listing looks almost unbelievable, but seeing the baby gate in the background lends some credibility. ANyone looking to play around with these should jump on them immediately.

No affil.

I'm close but swamped today and heading out of town, otherwise I'd offer to do a pickup....

I told Rich (SCompRacer) to grab these last night.

Not sure he was interested but for the price.....

I've already got Innersound ESL's otherwise I'd have jumped on it already.

If I lived within 100 miles of ChiTown those wouldn't be for sale any longer. Brett's in Chicago isn't he? Somebody needs to nail those. Wasn't Oak Park J. W. Gacey Central?

Email sent.......I'm not personally needing/wanting them, but if they respond to some of us that have asked, then at least someone here can have them.......(i think that makes sense).

Yes, I do think something is wrong with the people selling these.

LOL...I wasnt talking about the people. But I see your point.

I dont know much about Magnepan and Magneplanar, but from what I've heard, if you can position yourself in the "sweet spot", they are some of the best. But from looking at a few on Ebay, they are not that expensive.

Sorry Victor. You need bass. Aint gonna find it with Maggies ;)
Plus, these wouldn't do for your HT setup.

Amen to the sweet spot. My Innersound Eros sweet spot is about 16" wide.
Sit in the sweet spot and I doubt you'll find a better soundstage, both wide and deep and a clean transparency that's hard to describe it's so good.
Move a couple feet either way and it sounds like cow ****.

Those would appear to be MG-I's of some variety. IIRC, they typically go around 200 and lower on ebay/audiogon.

LOL :) I could augment the Maggies with the SVS or look for a more "musical" sub. If Rich gets them I'm sure I'll get to audition them ;)

My RTA's have nothing to do with my HT. A couple of screens would be easier to work in than a pair of SDA's ;):)

Oak Park is where Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio once were. Buildings are still there of course. Quite impressive as FLW was one of the world's great men.

I don't think he knew how to properly wear a clown suit. That kind of stuff counts.
