    Isn't it?

    It is the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point. And you also see the sun below the moon.

    No dice. The guy I got it from had it emailed to him by a friend who got it from who knows where. I've searched for the original with no luck.

    I found it... and it's undetermined whether as to it being real or done with the aid of a computer. I was originally told it is indeed real. Maybe not but it is Here

    It's a gorgeous picture, I actually set it as my wallpaper. Thanks for posting it.
    It looks like it could have been made in a program called "Terragen", a landscape and scenery generator.

    I like the pick but it has to be fake. The shadow on the moon that produces the cresent is cast by the earth. If both the sun and the moon are in the foreground the earth's shadow would not be present on the moon's surface.

    Besides the size ratio of sun to moon is off. It is still sweet.:)
