A customer of mine was cleaning out his garage today when I noticed a receiver on the ground. As I was checking it out the guy said if you want it, take it, been sitting around for years. It' a carver hr895 receiver. Have not had a chance to check it out,but the guy said it worked fine. His son left it behind when he got tranfered and moved.
Anybody familiar with this model and give me some insight on it.
Not quite sure what I am going to do with it as yet, guessit all depend on how it checks out.

Send it to me, I got plenty of time to setup a Carver, I'll test it out for ya....Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

I appreciate the offers, but I think I'll try fry an old pair of ratshack towers first. Would be too much of a mess to try & hook it up to my RM7600 set up. I need a set of front towers to go 6.1 with my 3802 but the wife keeps reminding me our oldest goes back to college in a few days & the other 4 will be starting with cath school tuition, braces, clothes and all that crap.............towers are put on the back burners again for awhile
:supermad:

I am looking at a carer HR-895 to replace a year old yamaha RX-v459 receiver is this a wise choice. I bought some B&W speakers for a hime theater system and I figure the carer would be a notch above is this a good choice
