Buzzing coming from Velodyne CHT-12 amp

My CHT-12 has had a problem for a while where i will hear a buzzing noise coming from the amp whenever it's playing a sound thats around 50 or 60 hz and its really annoying. Happens at all but the quietest volume levels. I emailed Velodyne and they said i can mail them the amp so they can fix it, but I was wondering if I can fix it if it's just something loose.

Are there any special safety precautions to handling the amp? Are there capacitors that need to dissipate after unplugging?

    I'll send it in if it is anything more complicated than a loose screw. Is there anything wrong with me touching the amp though (even if it's unplugged)?

    Hmm, i took the screws off of the perimeter of the amplifier, but i cant get the darned thinged off. It's like its stuck on there. Any tips?

    Flathead, carefully around the edge, pry it off. Smaller the better.

    Before you posted that, i used my leg as leverage and pulled it right off with lots of force. I realized that its just a big black box so i decided to screw it back on tightly, and now the buzz is gone. Back to basics i guess :)

    However, imagine that the flathead screwdriver is a much better way to go
