He must be tired of them. He has them up on racks with wheels.
I guess you could call them mobile SDA's."The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it." -

Those 1.2TL's on eBay just went for $877.00!!! Looks like he took a offer and closed the bidding. Damn, I should have tried that one myself :supermad:Political Correctness'.........defined

Someone got a great deal. I have not heard the SL3000 but I wonder if they are better than the SL2000 that was in the original SRS. Has anyone heard both and can comment?
-
I have some 2B's with the SL2000 and some 2.3TL's with the SL3000. IMHO the SL3000 is smoother, the SL2000 seems a little harsh at times. On some less than idea recordings played on the 2B's I found it necessary to turn down the volume as the highs hurt my eardrums, not so on the 2.3TL's. Now, this might be just me as my ears seem to be sensitive to high frequency anomalies.Political Correctness'.........defined

Evidently there was a limited run of special edition tweeters in the last production year. SL 3000's made with titanium instead of aluminum. Even though these speakers were manufactured in 1991 and sold new in 1992, they have a very low serial number on the back. All lettering is also gold front and back. I spoke to the guy selling the 1.2 TL's on ebay at this moment, and his tweeters are also gold tinted and manufactured in the last production year. Can anyone elaborate further?

Well, I for one don't understand. Sold for under $1000, great add, only two days? Huh? Maybe I'm missing something but should these have not gone for $2500 at least? Huh?

My first system was a badass *to me* kenwood spectrum I think. They had a 10 inch sub in the bottom which had it's own hookup and a seperate 8 woofer and a mid and tweet with their own hookup. The kid needed 400 bucks badlike. He sunk something like 1500 in financing. Needless to say, I lucked up.
Maybe the SRS guy was moving or perhaps the paint was fading on the tweets and they needed to go. heh.Two Channel Main

Guys......these speakers went for a lot more than where the auction was closed. Don't be fooled by what you see. The high bidder emailed this guy and offered some $2200.00-$2750.00 and the guy stoped the auction and sold to him somewhere in this price range.....Oh, the bottle has been to me, my closes friend, my worse enemy!
