    http://www.beachaudio.com/product_info.php?products_id=1900

With OneCall.com out of them and other stores charging upwards to $270 - $300 for it, I found beachaudio.com has the HTS3500 for only 172$ + $5 shipping!

With the $50 Mail-In, it comes out to be about $127 when all is said and done!

I bought a pair of $400 Sony Headphones from beachaudio before and it came double boxed and quick.... I'd say they're a pretty good company to buy from.

They have 1500 in stock as of right now.

    PS
My parents just bought me one! :D

I received mine from amazon about a week ago. I didnt realize how much my power fluctuatetes, Anywhere from 112 to 118 volts depending on the time of day. Now it has me thinking of a voltage stabilizer in addition to the power conditioner. Couldnt beat this for the price after the $50 rebate.

I have had mine since last tuesday and have noticed the same thing with the power fluctuation. it cost me a mere $129.00 including shipping after the rebate and it looks very good and handles my power hungry Mono extremes with no problem. i think this is by far the best deal i have ever gotten on a brand new piece of audio gear. thank....WCW III

Hey, Joey V i am only using the Reference HTS 3500 MK II powercenter for my primary two channel Rig. it may have cleaned up the power but as far as i can tell it has not adversely affected the sound at all. my system sounds extremely good to begin with and i have heard horror stories of the sound being restrained or somehow degraded while using some of the power conditioners that are on the market. it is working like a charm and is protecting all of my two channel gear including the CD player, preamplifier and both monoblocks. i thought that it would not be able to handle both of the 120 amps of current monoblocks but it is working like a champ.with the advent of Belkin coming out with the decent Pure AV power conditioners and heavily discounting them to the distributors it forced Monsters hand and made them do the same thing to try to protect thier market share in the new more competitive market.i know that monster is not very popular because of thier heavy handed Legal tactics.but if i can buy something that is fairly well built and looks good and protects my valuable components for what amounts to a very small investment i feel that it is in my best interest to do so and to tell you the truth Monster is here to stay regardless, even if i buy from them or not!thanks....WCW III

so general consensous is might help video no audio and is security when it comes to surge protection?

I might recommend it for my dad. according to this thread it went out of stock but now it's back in stock at that same price. 179.94 bringing it down to 130 with free shipping and rebate.

Once I get my new speakers up and running, I'll do an A/B and see if I can hear any audio difference.

The real cool thing about the HTS3500mk2 is that it has two parts to it: a switchable group of outlets and an unswitchable group of outlets. The switchable ones are controlled by YOU, meaning you can turn them on and/or off. The unswitchable group of outlets cannot be turned off and remain on always.

In the switchable group, you plug in the amp and the preamp in separate groups (they have them coded to go to certain outlets)... when you "switch" this group ON, the preamp goes on FIRST and then the amp turns on after 6 seconds... which is real nifty since this is the way it should be per Rotel's instructions. Now, if you turn OFF the switchable group, the preamp turns off SECOND this time while the amp turns off FIRST... which is opposite of the turning on process and is correct per Rotel's recommendations.

I like this switch/non-switch group of outlets and I really like the timers for the appropriate components. It saves me the hassle of remembering to turn off the amp first, but turning the amp on second.

Also, the surge supression should be helpful incase of spikes in the electrical lines.

Lastly, there is documented video benefit... lets see if there is audio benefit - I'll check in a week or two and I'll post.
