More thoughts on vinyl

The best thing a turntable gives you over CD or SACD is an infinite sample rate. Of course there is sometimes some surface noise but that goes away as you spend more and more money on the table, arm and cartridge. Also how you clean the LP's has a little to do with it. There again, more and more money.

I would say this, for ultimate sound quality you can not beat the sound of the proper table/arm/cartridge/preamp setup. Set aside the price of a nice used sports car though, maybe even a new one... Of course you might get lucky with synergy, I didn't.
