Will these gain me anything over my Marantz SR5000 with 70wpc? The specs read about the same. Same .09% thd.

I might pick up two of them if you think it will gain me an upgrade.

I cannot afford 4, 3 is pushing it. I might pick up two for the mains and see how I like them, then I can always add a third later.

Do it Ron......you can handle up on your entire front soundstage for 2 bills or 3 bills if you wanted to get SERIOUS. That's almost like stealing.......bridge 3 of them across the front...SA-WEET.

Call me whatever you want, but there ain't much downside to that.

Matter of fact, with your RT55's and CS400, you could bi-amp each one with its own 2ch amp......

My spend is off now. I just spent. I had $361.00 in my own account for personal spending, it's closed now. Well, I was saving it for amps.

How do I bridge these things? Is there a switch on the amp?

Just hope those pre-outs work on the Marantz.

There should be a diagram on the back for bridging. It is either the right pos, left neg to bridge....or vice versa....

Yeah, ****, I'm glad you have pre-outs....didn't even think to ask......

I wouldn't see why you couldn't bridge them, but I would definately take Adcom's word for it. Don't sweat the bridging, bi-amp them, it would prob sound better anyway.....

I dunno, I'm going to shoot off an email to the seller and see if I can back out. I don't need 60wpc amps when my Marantz is 70. I wanna go up in watts not down. We'll see I guess.

    Ron,
NO!!! These are a great deal! Do it dude! Don't worry about the bridge thing. Bi-amping will give you a better sound anyway and the sound level will be almost as high as bridging. The difference is minimal either way. These are a great deal. If I didn't already have separates I would have bought all of them and re-accessed the finances later.

Ron, you would be sending 60 to the tweet, and 60 to the midbasses.....instead of 70 to all of it....

Man, I feel bad, I know this will blow you away, if it doesn't, I'll buy one back from ya, and I'll help find buyers for the others....

Do what you want, but for now, I would just relax, its gonna be great dude....

I think that biamping each speaker is a CAPITAL idea.....

Ron, trust me, this is a great and relatively cheap thing. Bring 'em home, try them out and if you REALLY aren't satisfied, I could probably take one off your hands.....

    Ron,
Just keep in mind that each amp has it's own power supply and is built a lot different than a receiver. This is a different class and you WILL hear the difference. At least get two of them for future surround use. We all know you are just like the rest of us. Five years from now you will have two amps per channel going somehow. Like in "Risky Business"... Sometimes you just gotta say "what the F$%#"

I've never had seperates so all this is kinda new. Hopefully I am able to still get them.

How would I bi-amp these? Would I run a single line out of the Marantz, put a 'Y' splitter on it and run it into the L and R input on the Adcom.

BTW: They are mine. (I need another beer)
