New sub and hook up options?

hello all i have recently purchased a polk psw 12 and the hok up options are lil much. Im trying to figure the best way to go.. do i need to connect all my speakers to the sub or just leave them connected to the reciever as it is now. should i keep using the LFE channel unfiltered or do i need to get some RCA cables.. any help would be greatly appreciated

    i currently have a pair of R30's for the front stage a CSi40 for the center and Onkyo in a box for surround... Onkyo in a box reciever I think the Htr500

    use the sub out on your receiver, set speakers to small.
