I'm looking for an inexpensive tuner. Vintage is good. Nothing fancy.

Just a tuner? I have an old pro-logic reciever if you are interested.

Check Ebay, I've seen many very good ones for under $50. I got mine for $20.

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want...

Phuz: Sorry buddy Tuner only. I recently sold a DPL rcvr for $100.00. Now I wish I hadn't but oh, well.
MM001: Yeah, I check E-bay once in awhile. If I see something hard to pass-up I might get it. I'd prefer to keep it in the family though.
I'll also keep checking locally. Lots of cheap digitals to be had. If I could only find some old lady selling her son's Dynaco, Mac, Fisher, Sansui or Marantz. I'll be set.Make it Funky!

Used is easy, hit the pawnshops, you'll find a $5 Sony or some such, I did just last week.....
Hell, if you want mine (silver-faced, digital), tell me, $12 shipped, I'll send it on.....
Cheers,

Mark,
Check with George Grand. I'm sure that Tony Rome has probably got a dozen or so laying around. I got a really cool Realistic FM tuner from him a few months back.

Keep an eye out for Soundcraftsmen and Luxman brands.

Well, after sitting on my laurels too long RussMan's tuner is gone, I've E-mailed George and gotten no reply. Local shops suck! Quartz lock Fisher (4 color, 30 presets, 1in. high, etc.) for $35. I've come up with this.

It's not a TU-717 or anything, but it looks decent. I'll try to file, fill, repaint the engravings. I haven't gotten it yet, but E-mailed questions about payment (MO?) and shipping. I like it!
Anybody have familiarity with Sansui tuners? I used to have a Sansui receiver that was splendid, but it too was digital tuning. BTW CDs sounded great.
Max: I've never seen or heard a Soundcraftsman tuner. I didn't even think they made any (or receivers). Their amps/pre-amps are awesome! I use to have an EQ.Make it Funky!
