WTB :Custom Dreadnaught / AI-1 Isolation transformer for 1st gen Blade/Blade SDA-SRS

Options
Hello everyone,
I am the proud owner of a pair of first generation Polk SDA-SRS speakers featuring the large blade/blade interconnect system. I am pairing them with a McIntosh MC462 amplifier.
Because of the McIntosh autoformers, I know I need an isolation transformer (AI-1 clone or Dreadnaught box) to protect the amp and keep the SDA functionality working safely. Unfortunately I do not have the DIY or soldering skills to build one myself.
I am looking to commission a build or buy a pre-made unit from someone in the community who knows these circuits well. Ideally, I’d love a plug-and-play solution configured for my blade/blade setup . Please send me a PM with your price if you can help me out . Thank You!

I do not think your blade-blade SRS are compatible with the Dreadnought without some crossover modification. I'd check with Trey @VR3, www.Vr3Mods.net. He is one of the remaining members that probably knows best.

The first generation is wired in such a way that a dreadnought is not compatible.
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

According to the SDA Handbook p. 31 you can use the SDA AI-1 Interface for cases where both speakers are serial no. 5001 or greater. I don't know if at that time they made the interconnect plug different or what change they made to the crossover. Others will probably chime in.

Thank you gang for responding back so quickly. I will stand down and stick with my existing arrangement . The Late great Ben Williams replaced all the components on my crossover board all the way back in 2010 on the old forum and I have been very happy ever since.
