Too many choices. I'd almost say anything that still works at this point. Usually, you are better off checking to see what's available in your market on FB, Craigslist, or within a reasonable distance on USAudiomart/Ebay/etc., and cross reference the available models with past internet discussions.
You'll recognized a good machine and the bad ones will have plenty of negative talk. Anything that is more than 15 years old might need belts, so check availability of those. Check to see if laser units are still available (many are not). Let them know that any player with a digital coax can be fed into a higher quality DAC, so even ones with low quality analog output can be a decent transport by going that route.
Personally, I wouldn't buy anything that needs to be shipped unless it was from a highly trusted seller. I've had so many CD/DVD/SACD players that show up and do not play discs. Go to check out the item and take a variety of discs to play. Try CD-R, Pressed CDs, a DVD, etc.

The Oppo BDP-103 tends to sell for around $200 these days. Most won't have the remote control with them at that price. Added bonus of being a universal disc format player though. Some may be lightly used if an owner upgraded to a different model.
Is the player intended to be used with a receiver with digital inputs or something limited to analog inputs? -
Look into used Sony CDP's. They tend to have good reliability and better sound than most other selections IME.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Buy a Shanling EC3 for yourself and give them what you have laying around.
or as suggested, Buy a Sony from the Goodwill...Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears -
I always thought the non-ES Sony players were rather dull. Reliable transports though.
I was thinking, and remembered that both Yamaha and Onkyo had some modern simple CD players on the market recently. Those might be available used for around $200. -
Cambridge audio CD player's are available on the used market for a few hundred dollars and have a very good reputation for SQ and reliability.Enjoying the journey while never attaining the destination.

Have a Marantz DV-9600 I’d let go for two hunge but you’ll have to pay shipping.
I purchased it new, shipping container, manual & remote.
Plays cd, sacd, dvd, dvd-a. -

I did some checking on HiFiShark and there are plenty of the Yamaha S300 model in the $200 price range. Not sure exactly how reliable or how good that model sounds, but it is worth examining. -

I’ve got two Oppo’s and a symphonic line cd player. Certainly not a bad idea but I’m not giving up my toys!
That does look like a nice unit…Aaron

They have a Sony STR-DH590 to hook into so a small but decent receiver. Probably use HDMI for input.Aaron
