I've been lusting for the Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum III Dark for awhile now. Finally found a dealer less than 2 hours away. Made a visit to "Now Listen Here" in the Harrisburg area. You must make an appointment to visit mainly because for now his "shop" is located in several different rooms in his house.

As soon as I walked in the front door I knew this was going to be quite the experience. The entry hall was lined with fairly high end speakers. I had to be careful not to drool too much. As we went through other rooms I wished I had more time to spend looking at and hearing various items.

Aaron knew what he was talking about and answered any of my questions. I'm sure he knew that I was certainly no expert in this field but he didn't make me feel that way by throwing around high tech talk like so many audio sales people tend to do.

I had told him before my visit what I was interested in and after asking me a few questions he put together a system to audition which included the Cronus(although he did not have the Dark edition on hand). Now the listening room was acoustically treated which my house is not. When I mentioned that I really would not know if the Cronus was right for me as I'm sure it would sound somewhat different in my house, he understood and told me to take his Cronus home for a week or so to make a decision. This blew me away as all he knows about me is my name. I'm not sure he does this for everybody or with every piece in his line up, but it was really refreshing the trust he had in me after only spending an hour and a half talking all things audio,

So if you have the upgrade "itch" you won't go wrong by contacting Aaron and make a trip to him. He stated that he hopes to have his new audio store opened soon and turn his house back to a home.

Yep, my name really is Bob.

Working with dealers like that are great. In home trials are priceless. My wife would not agree with them being priceless. Good luck with the evaluation.

That must have been nice. I swear, most of the time I've ever shopped in person, the sales staff rarely knew more about the product than I did. Sometimes, I had to explain things to them. This isn't just for audio stuff. Cars, TVs, appliances, you name it. Knowledgable sales staff are a rare treat.
