Hello all, and good evening to you. I have secured my flights and was wondering who all is planning on attending this show next year. It has new owners, Jonny Wilson and Steve Carstensen. Some of you are already familiar with Jonny, as he is the owner/designer for Snake River Audio.
The venue has a new location. It is a hotel located right on the lake and the rooms will all be lakeside, with the show being on the opposite side of the reserved hotel sleeping rooms, so show noise will not affect your room. Plus, you get a lovely view. Win-win, there.
My trip will start by flying down to meet Steve Williams. He is the owner of the What's Best Forum and he has a stellar system that I'd like to get my ears on. More so than that, I will finally get to meet him, after working with him for close to 15 years on the forum. I'll stay down at his place for a couple of days, meet his wife, tour the beaches and local highlights, dine at oceanfront restaurants and then we will both fly up to the PAF on Thursday afternoon, so we are ready for the show on Friday.
The show itself will have a "music lover's" theme. From live music, to seminars, to educational sessions. The new owners are going to try and make this one of the most popular shows in the audio industry, and sort of revolutionize how shows should be ran. They have some great ideas that I have been privy to hearing, and it sounds like this will be a huge success. Both for attendees and vendors.
The hotel was just built less than 10 years ago, and it is located right on the water of Lake Washington, in Renton (just on the outskirts of Seattle WA). The venue will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Southport Seattle. This is about 8 miles away from Sea-Tac airport (SEA), so it would only take about 15 minutes top get from the airport to the venue. It's also an international airport, so flights and flight selections should not be any issue.
I was just wondering if anyone here would be able to attend, or was planning on attending, and if they do? Let's meet up! I've met many of the Dallas crew members of the forum, but this will be my first time in this part of the country, specifically for audio.

This venue will not be like the one in Florida, where you had to search for the rooms. The layout will be easy to locate the rooms (large or small), and you won't need to go down some long, obscure hallway, taking a right, left, right, just to locate a different vendor. The way they have it mapped out, you will not be wasting your time walking. Another interesting tid bit is that the HQ for Dungeons and Dragons is located off to the side of the hotel, if anyone is into that.
Within walking distance is a lakeside park, boardwalk, lakeside restaurant, and a Top Golf that is about a 12 minute walk away. So, plenty to do nearby, without having to secure a rental car.

I’m going to try to make it there. I went to the first one and met Skip (Audiothesis) and Jonny. This looks like a great venue. I could even see taking my outrigger canoe for a spin on the lake.
